IESCO Tariff

An IESCO tariff is a rate, terms, charges, and conditions for the electricity power generation, transmission, and distribution by IESCO. These charges are applied to consumers to using their electricity with the approval by NEPRA.

The schedule of tariff approved by NEPRA and notified by the government is available at IESCO office and can be provided by his official NEPRA website.

What is a Tariff?

Tariff is a rate ,charges terms and condition for generation of electricity power transmission interconnection,distribution,services and sale of electricity to its consumerby DISCO.

DISCO shall be charge such tariff from consumer as is approved by NEPRA and duly notified by Government of Pakistan time to time change and apply to its consumers.

Low power factor fee

The penalties for low power factor shall be levied according to the terms and condition of the approved tariff of the respective category.

Eligibility for Tariff Change


The following consumers can apply to DISCO (insert name) for a change in tariff category:

General Supply Consumers — Residential (A1), Commercial (A2), and General Services (A3) can request a change between these categories (e.g., A1↔A2, A2↔A3, etc.).

Commercial to Industrial — Consumers can shift between Commercial and Industrial (B1 & B2) categories.

Seasonal to Non-Seasonal — Industrial consumers may change their tariff from seasonal to non-seasonal and vice versa.

Tube Well to Industrial — Tube well consumers may convert to industrial connections. However, an industrial connection cannot be converted back to tube well before completing one year from energization and fulfilling all requirements.

Terms and Conditions

Only the authorized sanctioning officer can approve a tariff change.

No tariff change will be allowed if any dues are pending.
Consumers must pay the security deposit at current rates (with adjustment for any amount already paid).
A new contract (Annex-II) must be signed between the consumer and DISCO.

Application Process

Consumers must apply at least 30 days in advance with all required documents (Annex I).
DISCO will process and approve the application within 30 days of receiving it.
